VOIP Case Study 2

A local Small business man who ran his business from an office at home needed to move out to gain space. He found a perfect place nearby and although in the same area code was on a different BT exchange.

The Solution

This situation normally means we would retain the number for several months but put on a BT message “this number has been changed to…….” You know the one!

If you divert the number you have to keep this line and then pay for another at the new office plus pay the divert cost every time someone calls.

He was a perfect candidate for our hosted VOIP system. With this system the BT number is ported to retain it. It is then given to a VOIP phone that could be anywhere in the world. This was simple though, it just needed to work a few miles up the road.

We installed broadband onto his new fax line, and his old number works great. It will still divert to his mobile when he is out the office and the call costs are lower now than they were with the BT Line.

He has voice mail that we can email anywhere for free! The system could even be set to “Find Him” by ring a list of numbers he provides – Mobile, Home, even the Pub!

When he grows and needs another member of staff we can add a second phone to the same number that can be located anywhere.
