Dental Surgery Case Study

Small business B needed a small 3 line system with 8 extensions for a small but busy Dental Surgery.

The Solution

We chose a Panasonic KXTA-624 analogue system with 12 extensions and 3 lines. This is a very capable little system that will support digital or analogue phones, and provide all the features they needed.

We installed digital phones on reception and in the surgeries, this was for two reasons. The reception phones needed to be easy to operate and have lights to show what lines and phones were in use. It needed to be quick and easy to transfer calls so we programmed a button for each extension. This meant that extensions that were busy could be noted and only one touch was necessary to transfer a call.

The digital phones in the surgeries were for a different reason. This was so that the dentist could be alerted to the

presence of the next patient without the need to answer the phone. The receptionist could simply “page” the phone announcing an incoming call or appointment.

They didn’t need any more than that. The system central unit cost just £499.00 + vat with basic phones available from £10.00. Installation took just 1 day with no interruption to the normal running of the surgery.
